Busse for Montana spot highlights unpopular governor’s record tax increase

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Busse for Montana, the gubernatorial campaign of former firearms executive Ryan Busse, today released a new radio ad highlighting Governor Greg Gianforte’s record residential property tax increase.

“Gianforte raised our property taxes by as much as 111 percent,” the Busse for Montana ad says. “Now Gianforte is lying about who’s to blame, and fellow Republican leaders are calling out his lies. They’re tired of Gianforte handing out tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires like himself, while pricing hardworking Montanans out of their homes.”

Montana has never been more expensive and Governor Greg Gianforte is pouring gas on the fire. Gianforte raised our property taxes by as much as 111%. That’s the largest increase in Montana’s history. You pay more, Gianforte pays less. He’s the only homeowner in his neighborhood whose property taxes actually went down. Now Gianforte is lying about who’s to blame, and fellow Republican leaders are calling out his lies. They’re tired of Gianforte handing out tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires like himself, while pricing hardworking Montanans out of their homes. Ryan Busse has a plan to lower property taxes. The Montana Taxpayers Association calls his plan “the simplest,” and it’ll cut property taxes by $112 million—bringing permanent relief to middle-class families. Ryan Busse is ready to fix this on Day One. He’s running to get your Montana back… and lower your taxes.
